Client Online Simulation and Media Release Agreement

The Standardized Patient Program (SPP) offers both in-person and virtual simulated patient encounters to support the experiential learning of medical and healthcare students. These online sessions may involve the use of audio and video conferencing technologies, including photography, audio, and/or video recording, to ensure the effective delivery and evaluation of educational services.

Purpose of Media Recording

The recording of online Standardized Patient (SP) sessions serves several educational and professional development purposes, including but not limited to:

  • Teaching and training
  • Simulation-based learning
  • Scoring and assessment of borderline candidates
  • Verification of patient information transmission
  • Tutor review and training
  • Continuing professional development within healthcare organizations

Please note that these recordings are strictly intended for educational use and must not be used or distributed for any commercial or monetary purposes.

Client Consent Requirements

If a client requests the creation of photography, audio, or video recordings as part of a project, they are required to sign the Client Online Media and Consent Agreement. This agreement outlines the conditions set forth by the SPP regarding:

  • Access to recordings
  • Downloading and distribution
  • Usage limitations
  • Retention and/or destruction of media content

By signing this agreement, clients acknowledge and consent to the terms and conditions governing the responsible use of recorded materials, ensuring compliance with privacy, ethical, and educational standards.
