The UTORid is a permanent credential that is issued to University of Toronto degree students, alumni, faculty members, and staff members to access campus-wide services and resources.
All new employees receive a UTORid letter shortly after they are hired.
The UTORid letter contains your UTORid, Personnel Number and activation code.
The letter has instructions on how to:
Activate the UTORid
Access Employee Self-Service (ESS) for T4s and pay statements
Obtain a Tcard (U of T ID card), which is optional.
You must activate your UTORid, create a password, generate a U of T email address here and install multi-factor authentication software (MFA/DUO - here) to access U of T online platforms, including Employee Self-Service and email.
Contact the SPP if you need a copy of your UTORid letter to view your UTORid and activation code if you have not already activated your UTORid.
