Educators and External Clients
The future is not created, it is co-created
Educators (University of Toronto Faculty, Tutors, Clinicians etc.) and External Clients (Clients external to the University) are invited to be involved in the development of simulation projects with the Standardized Patient Program.
Through this partnership, we aim to foster the exchange of ideas, share relevant information, and identify cost-effective strategies to enhance the educational experience for learners.
Essential Resources for Clients Collaborating with Standardized Patients
Why Work with the Standardized Patients at the University of Toronto?
Our Standardized Patients (SPs)/Simulated Clients (SCs) are educators and bring a breadth of knowledge, skill, competence, and experience. Many of our SPs/SCs have worked with the program for over 10 or 20 years and have simulation experience in every educational sphere.
The SPPs Commitment to Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Indigeneity, and Accessibility
At the Standardized Patient Program (SPP), we are deeply committed to advancing Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, Indigeneity, and Accessibility (EDIIA). Through intentional and ongoing practices, we strive to build a diverse pool of Standardized Patients (SPs) and Simulated Clients that accurately reflect the communities and patient populations our learners will serve. For more information on our EDIIA practices, read here.
