What We Do

We specialize in recruiting, training, and coordinating standardized patients, individuals carefully prepared to portray real-life clinical scenarios with consistency and authenticity.

We provide live and/or hybrid simulation methodologies to a wide range of healthcare education and assessment initiatives through teaching, facilitation, and feedback.

We support curriculum delivery, collaborating with educators to integrate simulation into teaching, helping learners develop clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills in a safe and structured environment.

We facilitate assessment enabling objective evaluation of learner competencies through formative and summative assessments, including OSCEs (Objective Structured Clinical Examinations).

We contribute to educational research and pilot new approaches in simulation to improve teaching methodologies and learner outcomes.

We serve diverse partners beyond the Temerty Faculty of Medicine. We work with other University of Toronto faculties, affiliated teaching hospitals, and community organizations to meet a wide range of educational and training needs.
